Education

Hands-on learning formats for media teams, universities and support organizations — built around our Crisis Leadership Simulation.

Leadership is learned under pressure

Lectures don't prepare people for hard decisions — practice does. Our flagship format, the Crisis Leadership Simulation, puts teams in charge of a fictional media outlet or NGO facing a realistic crisis: roles with hidden agendas, internal documents, budgets, time pressure, and a narrative that evolves with their decisions.

The simulation has been tested with 300+ participants and is used in training and development programs by the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, UN Women,FOJO Media Institute, the International Press Institute and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

What it's for

Universities & journalism schoolsA capstone module for media, journalism and management curricula — theory applied under realistic pressure.
NGOs & support organizationsAssess and develop teams: under pressure it becomes visible who steps up, who listens, who freezes.
Media organizationsTrain editors and managers to make leadership calls — before they carry real teams, money and reputations.
Custom trainingsWorkshops on media management, revenue and strategy — like our executive trainings for Ringier Axel Springer.

How the simulation works

Online · on-site or hybrid · modular.
Runs in multiple languages. Low setup on your side.

01

Setup & scoping

We define goals, audience and context together — and shape the scenario's structure, language, duration and complexity to fit your program.

02

The simulation

Teams navigate a series of challenges under time pressure. Optional add-on: live role-play with media professionals acting as donors, staff and stakeholders.

03

Debrief & learning

Moderated debriefs translate decisions and team dynamics into practical insight, with curated follow-up materials for further learning.
